A riverfront cabin located on private land and directly on the Shenandoah

River.  From the outside the cabin with its rough sawn oak and metal roof

is

 reminiscent

 of an old

barn but

inside, your

comfort and

enjoyment

is the

priority.  Floor to

ceiling glass

 walls on

two sides of

the living

 room offer

beautiful

views of the

mountains

 and

Shenandoah

 River and

 the rippling

 sounds of

the river, birds, and sometimes rain on the roof are sure to soothe you.

The cabin’s living room has a pull out couch, table and chairs as

well as other amenities. Here you can relax and watch the river flow,

step out on the deck to enjoy the sounds and fragrances, or in

inclement weather read a book, nap and listen to the rain on the roof,

play a game, or watch the satellite dish TV.

The antique bedroom features a double bed, side tables and lamps, a large wardrobe, satellite TV, and books for your enjoyment.

After having explored the cabin perhaps a short walk back down

the road to the mowed part of the river frontage.  Here you can fish

in a slower part of the river, swim in the shallow area off a small

pebble beach, or just sit and stare from the beach or hammock.

Hungry yet?  Caught anything?  Back at the turn in the road is

a picnic shelter with BBQ.
Try your fish or pick up a juicy steak sausages or vegetables to

grill and go to town.  If you're too tired or just want something

simpler head back to your cabin where a kitchen equipped with a

refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, sink and all dishes and

flatware.

A bathroom is located adjacent to the kitchen and bedroom,

so have your shower slip into something comfortable and

retreat to the bedroom furnished with antiques and a satellite

dish TV.  Then off to dreamland with visions of tomorrow’s

activities dancing in your head.

There are lots of things to do – visit the Shenandoah

National Park and Skyline Drive and explore the National

Forest.  Try golf, horseback riding, canoeing, tubing, or visit

one of the caverns (Luray Caverns being the largest on the

east coast). New Market Battlefield has hikes and a very

informative museum.  Restaurants, antique shops, and

auctions abound.  Check out the local paper (Page News

and Courier) for times and dates of many other activities.

Heating and air conditioning as well as two ceiling fans

installed for your year round comfort and enjoyment.
